- Annual Membership includes research project and education/outreach activities
- Promotes broader relationships between member companies and Georgia Tech
Mission
SCL seeks active collaboration with the supply chain and logistics industry community in all of its research, education and outreach programs. These industry relationships are largely channeled through Leaders in Logistics membership. More than 30 business and government organizations have participated in Leaders in Logistic over the past ten years. Each member company provides an annual contribution to support SCL's research, education and outreach programs. These funds are used for:
- In-context research (providing new knowledge, tools, and insights related to the immediate interest of individual member companies)
- Generic / collaborative research (motivated by in-context research, but oriented toward creating new knowledge and tools of long-term interest to the logistics community)
SCL also involves Leaders in Logistics member company representatives in a wide range of other SCL activities. These may include membership in Supply Chain Executive Forum and complimentary Seats in SCL Professional Education programs. To meet member company's specific needs, SCL may also assist with recruiting, jointly organize industry conferences and provide opportunities for company presentations/tours during SCL professional education programs
Membership Information
Membership in Leaders in Logistics is $60,000 per year, made as a contribution to the Georgia Tech Foundation. These member company contributions to the Georgia Tech Foundation are designated for SCL Leaders in Logistics research support. No formal research contracts or deliverables are associated with a Leaders in Logistics research project. While SCL maintains the confidentiality of all company data, Georgia Tech retains all rights to any intellectual property developed by SCL research. SCL is however committed to establishing and maintaining a productive relationship with member companies and has a long history of meeting member company needs and sustaining these relationships.
The SCL Research Director will work with a member company representative to select a Georgia Tech faculty member and a specific research problem of mutual interest on to focus the faculty/graduate student research project for the year. Projects are scoped for completion over a twelve month period, but many of them, continue and expand over multiple years.

- Complimentary registration in ten days of short courses in SCL-sponsored Professional education
