FinListics: Financial Logistics Workshop
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
• Logistics consultants
• Logistics and Financial managers
• Account and operations managers for Third-Party Logistics providers
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
FinListics® is a methodology for measuring the impact of changes in logistics practices on overall financial performance. FinListics® will enable you to develop a senior management's view of the financial benefits of logistics, therefore highlighting logistics potential for improving shareholder value. FinListics® focuses on the measurement and management of:
Logistics operating costs—transportation, warehousing, distribution, administrative, etc.
On-going logistics capital charges needed to support investments—inventories, accounts receivable, warehouses, fleets, technology, storage and handling equipment, etc.
Sales growth from improved logistics practices—service levels, speed to market, etc.
FINLISTICS® APPLICATIONS
FinListics® applications will enable you to invest in logistics to improve service levels and sales. By deploying the application and methodologies, you can use logistics to reduce cash cycle times; balance transportation and inventory carrying costs; consolidate your distribution network; leverage logistics outsourcing; and establish third-party inventory ownership.
SPECIAL FEATURE: FINLISTICS® VALUE MANAGER
Each participant is provided a licensed copy of the FinListics® Value Manager student version to use at the workshop and back on the job. The FinListics® Value Manager is an easy-to-use Microsoft Excel-based program developed by Dr. Stephen and Christine Timme of Finlistics® Solutions, Inc. The model incorporates the many experiences FSI educators have gained in teaching the power of FinListics® to managers throughout the world. You can immediately begin to use the FinListics® Value Manager to perform detailed financial analysis of your logistics business cases even if you have no prior background in finance.
The model helps measure your company's or logistics customers' financial logistics performance using metrics such as Economic Profit, Return on Capital, Profit Margin, Capital Utilization, Operating Costs, and Cash Flows. The model quickly helps show the link between logistics practices and financial performance.
The student model features
- Diagnostics of your company's current and historical trends in financial logistics performance
- Benchmarking of your financial logistics performance to competitors
- What-If Analyses are easily performed for improvement in logistics practices
- Goal-seeking to let you set goals for changes in financial performance
BRING YOUR FINANCIAL LOGISTICS DATA
Enhance your learning experience by bringing your own financial logistics data and business cases to the workshop. A financial logistics template is provided to help you collect all the necessary data. Use this data to gain hands-on experience measuring financial logistics performance.
