Online Course User Interface

Online courses are offered via a high speed internet portal at the Georgia Tech Distance Learning Computer Center. All user interfaces for the SCMS online courses were developed, under the direction of Dr. Frazelle, by the Georgia Tech Distance Learning organization using state-of-the-art software including the WebCT Learning Management System. The interface provided by WebCT is primarily point-and-click and can be learned by anyone capable of using a web browser such as Internet Explorer. There is no software to distribute, and no experience with HTML or other technical knowledge is required.

SCMS course materials are presented online via streaming video presentations synchronized with PowerPoint slides for each course – over 18 hours of video presentations shot in the live Georgia Tech classroom setting. You will receive:

  • All PowerPoint slides used in the presentations.
  • Extensive course notes – complete transcriptions of live classroom presentations.
  • Other streaming video clips demonstrating the operation of important logistics systems.
  • Photo galleries highlighting the operation of important logistics systems.

Participation is handled via Georgia Tech's WebCT, and is very easy to use.
