Kevin Gue is a professional education instructor for the Georgia Tech Supply Chain & Logistics Institute and a professor of industrial engineering and Director of the Logistics and Distribution Institute at the University of Louisville. Previously, he held faculty positions at Auburn University (2004-2014) and the Naval Postgraduate School (1995-2004). Gue graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1985 and received his Ph.D. from the School of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech in 1995.

Dr. Gue's research addresses the design and control of logistics systems, with a focus on distribution, warehousing, and material handling. He is co-inventor of the warehouse aisle designs known as the Flying-V, Fishbone, and Chevron, among others. His work on aisle designs has received multiple best paper awards and was awarded the Technical Innovation in Industrial Engineering Award from IIE in 2009. His research has been sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research, the Defense Logistics Agency, and several private organizations. Gue is a former president of the College-Industry Council on Material Handling education and is Editor-in-Chief of the recently published U.S. Roadmap on Material Handling and Logistics.
