  • Warehousing Short Course Warehousing Short Course

    This course addresses warehouse management, warehouse operations, warehouse management systems, material handling systems, and the warehouse workforce. Topics covered are paperless warehousing, order picking, pallet storage and retrieval, receiving and supply, bar coding, benchmarking, case picking, slotting, radio frequency, cross docking, work measurement, third-party warehousing, returns, warehouse layout, vehicle alternatives, sorting systems and international distribution. Case studies of various progressive distribution centers will also be presented. To further enhance the classroom instruction, participants will have the opportunity to tour two Atlanta distribution centers. This course is designed for warehouse and distribution managers, material handling and material management personnel, industrial engineers, systems analysts, and anyone who would like to improve their warehousing systems.
