    Atlanta (December 8, 2008) — In November, Professor John Bartholdi, SCL Executive Director Don Ratliff, SCL Managing Director Harvey Donaldson, and PhD student Alejandro MacCawley traveled to Mendoza, Argentina to meet with the faculty of the National University of Cuyo and the other members of the Wine Supply Chain Council regarding global research opportunities in the wine supply chain.

    Atlanta (March 26, 2008) — Professor John Bartholdi's global supply chain class has finalized plans for the first "Great Container Race" to begin on April 22, 2008. The students will track two containers as they travel by alternate routes and carriers to the University of Cape Coast Hospital in the West African nation of Ghana. The students will then analyze the efficiency of the routes. The race is expected to take about 35 days.
