The online/virtual-Instructor led version of the course is comprised of (3) full-day instructor-led LIVE group webinars (April 20, 21, 22 | 8-5pm EST).
This course prepares students in the basics of transportation operations and analysis. The course includes review of the key elements of transportation such as: modes of transportation, transportation procurement, cost minimization techniques, the role of ports in global logistics, and international trade terms. The course also will discuss emerging trends in North American transportation markets, emerging techniques, and greenhouse gas emissions reduction.
This course is designed for Supply Chain Managers, Distribution Managers, Transportation Planners, Transportation Clerks, Transportation Analysts, and Transportation Managers and learners seeking to enter these roles. Supply chain professionals from other domains will also benefit through gaining insights into transportation operations.
No prerequisites. This course is part of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Certificate.

The program fee for LIVE courses (non-online) includes continental breakfasts, lunches, breaks, parking, internet access, and all classroom materials.
If the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute must cancel a program, registrants will receive a full refund. Georgia Tech, however, cannot assume the responsibility for other costs incurred. Due to program enrollment limits, early registration is encouraged. Registrations will be acknowledged by a letter of confirmation from Professional Education.

If SCL/GTPE cancels a course, participants will be notified via email or phone and will be given the option for a full refund or to transfer their registration and any fees paid to another course.
